H.C Transport is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team.

As a Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our employees work in a safe environment and comply with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
Conduct risk assessments and ensure that appropriate control measures are in place
Develop and deliver health and safety training programs to employees
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections
Investigate accidents and incidents and make recommendations for corrective action
Keep uptodate with changes to health and safety legislation and ensure compliance
Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities as necessary
Review Daily Log Books
Conduct Health and Safety orientation for new staff and contractors.

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in the transportation or forestry industry
Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Proficient with computers and willing to learn new programs when necessary
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

Salary:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
