What you will do:
Stream 1:
As an Awards Reconciliation Officer, you will coordinate the Reconciliation of Active Awards process for grants awarded by NSERC and SSHRC, the General Research Funds and the General Graduate Studies Funds.
Ensures the reliability of financial records and the accuracy of the financial reporting function in order that financial information can be used by internal stakeholders with confidence in support of fiduciary obligations.
Stream 2:
As an Awards Administration Officer, you will provide essential, effective and efficient award administration services for NSERC and SSHRC grants, scholarships and fellowships programs with respect to the operational framework requirements associated with awards administration under both Councils programs, partnerships and initiatives.
What you need to succeed:
Education:
- Secondary school diploma OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Foreign Credential Validation against Canadian Standards
Experience:
- Experience working with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
- Experience in offering guidance, interpretation, recommendations and administrative or clerical support.
- Experience reviewing and processing a wide range of administrative action requests.
- Experience working with administrative and related financial procedures or activities.
- Experience using grant management systems and software.
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of financial analysis and statistical reporting techniques.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Knowledge of awards payment policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of the Tri-Agency guide on Financial Administration (TAGFA).
Asset:
- Knowledge of program structures, triagency and agency specific guidelines and policies, and related funding component.
