Summary of Position:
The Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for identifying, purchasing and managing the inventory of items for the company.
Responsible for ensuring the parts that are critical to meet our customer needs are available on time and that overall investment in inventory is minimized.
Duties include:
- Identify the most appropriate supplier for the products.
- Confirm all aspects of pricing and deliveries.
- Work with logistics and production personnel to achieve effective distribution of goods and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet demand.
- Create and control part numbers and identities.
- Responsible for inventory counts and maintenance of inventorytracking system.
- Communicate with Customer Service and Sales departments to ensure adequate stock is available.
- Forecast potential inventory issues.
- Implement best practices for inventory control procedures.
- Additional duties as outlined by the manager or supervisor.
Desired skills and experience:
- Previous experience in inventory, production and distribution procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, including strong Excel skills.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask and exercise independent judgement.
- Detailoriented.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Perform all job duties safely and according to HSE guidelines.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
- Experience working within an ERP system such as Discovery Solutions Inc. (DSI) will be beneficial.
- Industry experience along with relevant postsecondary education will be considered an asset.
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Salary:
$50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Experience:
