This position is in the Marketing Department in Calgary and will work with a collegial, fun and supportive team


The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented, creative, forward-thinking & organized Content Writer to join our content team.

We are a leading private college offering diploma programs in the business, health, hospitality, legal and technology fields, providing both on-campus and online learning experiences.


You will enjoy and excel in this position if you are an exceptional writer; creative and think outside the box but thrive in the details; a self-starter who enjoys turning around content quickly from ideation to execution while working on multiple projects.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Write and develop content for a variety of channels, including but not limited to website, blog, social media, video and print
  • Develop written content for paid ads that convert
  • Produce wellresearched content, including gathering information from a variety of internal and external sources.
  • Work collaboratively on compelling brand stories and creating copy that helps shape a consistent brand experience across all channels
  • Analyze content performance and report on necessary adjustments and pivots for social media channel performance
  • Build meaningful connections with community members through dialog and messaging
  • Moderate usergenerated content and messages appropriately, based on College and community policies
  • Work with the team to create and implement social media marketing plan
  • Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage College reputation, coordinate promotions, and increase reach

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years' work experience creating written content for digital marketing and social media
  • Excellent written skills, including grammar and proofreading
  • Strong organizational and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and how to optimize content for search engines
  • A self starter who can work on multiple projects with different objectives simultaneously and meet set deadlines
  • Experience in producing copy for digital and traditional marketing channels
  • Portfolio of written work required
Pre-employment requirement: Successful applicants will be required to provide proof of qualifications and a portfolio of previous work.

$46,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
