Work environment:

Elections Canada offers a hybrid work model which permits telework in most situations.

However, employees are expected to work onsite at least 2 days per week (or a minimum of 40% of their working schedule).

This includes one fixed day onsite for all employees of the same team and one flexible day (i.e. not fixed) at an onsite location. Work arrangements outside of this model will be considered on an exceptional basis only.

EDUCATION
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency


ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Experience providing administrative support services*.

  • Administrative support services are defined as, for example, but not limited to: managing agendas, scheduling and organizing meetings/teleconferences, preparing and collating meeting file folders and background materials, procuring office equipment and supplies, maintaining a filing system, data entry and other related duties.

ASSET EXPERIENCES
Experience in drafting and formatting correspondence material such as letters, memos etc.
Experience using Excel for data entry and spreadsheet manipulation
Experience in reviewing, tracking and following up on incoming correspondence and requests
Experience providing financial support services
Experience working in a call centre


ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS

Conditions of employment:

Reliability Status security clearance

Consent to observe strict political impartiality and neutrality for the duration of employment.
Willingness and ability to work overtime on as when needed and on short notice.

Willingness and ability to work in a hybrid work environment: in-person at 30 Victoria Street in Gatineau 2 days per week and teleworking.

A working internet connection is required to perform the duties of the position.
