We're always looking for top talent to help us lead the way in a thriving industry with boundless opportunities. - Within our Customs Compliance Operations department, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with export and import requirements and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations
Specifically, your role involves:
- Periodically verifying our customs compliance to minimize the risk of penalties from government institutions.
- Responding to internal and external customer inquiries related to customs compliance, as well as assisting transportation and customs operations with daily support.
- Verifying customs entries to ensure the accuracy and correctness of customs declarations, including classifying and maintaining a tariff classification database for validation of current classifications and adding new ones.
- Participating in and initiating improvements to current processes.
- Involvement in special company development projects.
- Keeping stakeholders informed about industry updates.
- Performing any other related tasks as required for this position.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of international trade regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian and American customs procedures.
- Proficiency in computer tools, especially the Office suite.
- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
- Possession of a CCS title is an asset.
- Non-Technical Skills:
- Ability to work in a team.
- Customeroriented, actiondriven, and resultsoriented.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Sense of responsibility and organization.
- Autonomy.
- Methodical and orderly.
- Educational Requirements:
- DEC in Logistics Transportation or any other relevant discipline.
- Linguistic Requirement: Proficiency in both French and intermediateadvanced English.
