Core hours:
Monday to Friday from 8am - 4:30pm PST

This position is classified as
Hybrid under our Hybrid Work Program Policy, where this position is required to be onsite 3 days per week.


Role Summary

As the Director of Marketing, you will produce results by inspiring and coordinating the efforts of a team of marketing professionals.

Using Customer data and marketing insights, you are responsible for the successful implementation of all product launches, corporate marketing programs, and branded marketing initiatives (with the exception of Public Relations initiatives).

You will liaise with Eminence's senior leadership and work closely with Digital Marketing, Product Development, Customer Education, Business Development, Sales, and Supply Chain Teams to grow sales and maximize the return on marketing promotions and initiatives.

You will report to the VP of Marketing & Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Define the marketing strategy that is based on analysis and research and enable the team to make intelligent decisions
  • Oversee the marketing roadmap, ensuring marketing launches and promotions are evaluated, selected, implemented, and evolved to meet the marketing teams' needs and the needs of our Customers
  • Develop and implement strategies for capturing market trends and insights with a focus on our Spa Partners and Retail Customers
  • Develop strategies that promote and strengthen the Eminence Brand, support financial growth, and streamline marketing operations procedures
  • Communicate a compelling and inspiring version of the Annual Plan and Strategic Goals to the Marketing Team
  • Ensure our operations are running smoothly, track performance, and provide marketing insights based on data and results
  • Approve marketing collateral and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities, gauge audience reaction and direct future marketing activity based on results
  • Work with the President (when necessary) to establish an evolving brand while bringing the brand to life through creative and design elements
  • Offer feedback and approval on marketing collateral, including print production and creative pieces, to drive Client satisfaction from Spa Partners and Retail Customers through compelling launch strategies
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Launch & Promotions Team Lead and Marketing Programs Team Lead to create cohesive onbrand launches, promotions and programs
  • Ensure each launch meets or exceeds expectations in innovation, increased brand awareness and continuous market share and financial growth
  • Measure and analyze the effectiveness of promotional activities and campaigns
  • Partner with Business Development and Public Relations on the marketing deliverables required to ensure Eminence shows up on brand and in a compelling way at tradeshows, networking and PR events
  • Oversee the hiring of Marketing Teammembers, including recruiting and retaining Teammembers as needed
  • Monitor and coach all Marketing Teammembers by communicating progress on key goals, expectations and performance

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in marketing with a minimum of 5 years managing a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record in developing and executing marketing strategies
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing and developing highperformance teams
  • Collaborative experience with crossfunctional teams in areas such as Supply Chain, Sales, and Product Development
  • Experience in the consumerpackaged goods industry, particularly in spa and health and beauty an asset
  • Experience in Product Launch Management (conception through to SKU Rationalization) with consumer package goods an asset
  • Corporate Communications experience is an asset
  • Experience working in brand management/governance an asset
  • You have a passion for organizing and automating processes
  • You are analytically creative, with the mindset of a business analyst and the creativity of a marketing expert
  • Ability to lead in a fastpaced, changing environment with shifting priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
