Interior Health is hiring a Manager, Leadership and Organization Development. This is a term specific role until March 31, 2024 or return of incumbent.


About the role:


The Manager, Leadership and Organization Development is responsible for the implementation of Leadership Development (LD), Organization Development (OD) services across IH to foster transformational organizational change and positive workplaces.

This evidence-based practice will deliver OD and LD services at strategic, tactical, and operational levels with the goal of helping IH to meet its mission, vision, and organizational objectives, directed by the values and guiding principles.


As a member of the Human Resources (HR) team, the Manager will play an integral role in the creation and implementation of organizational and leadership development policies, services, and programs.


The Manager will provide direct support and guidance to a team of OD/LD Consultants and will act as the contact point for members of regional leadership teams as well as leaders at all other levels.

The Manager also liaises and collaborates with provincial, national, and international leaders regarding transformational change and OD/LD strategy and programs.

The Manager supports other HR-related system-wide initiatives that move forward IH's strategic priorities. The Manager acts as a role model to lead others through significant change and support those undergoing change.

Education, Training, and Experience

  • Master's degree in Organization Development, Organizational Psychology, or Organizational Behaviour, Leadership and Learning, Education, Human Resource Management, Health Care Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience, including several years of experience as an internal or external Organization Development or Change Consultant, Leadership/Learning Specialist/Consultant.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A coaching and/or behavioural/organizational systems certificate would be preferred
