Description

Electric Love Bakeshop is looking for a junior baker to join our growing bakery in North York. The job involves baking a variety of desserts such as cookies, cupcakes, brownies and squares, pies, and challah breads. The position allows for creativity, recipe creation, designing new baked goods, and holiday menu design. Ability for upward movement in the company to assistant head baker, head baker, or kitchen manager after 1-2 years.

Looking for someone who is happy to learn new skills and work collaboratively in a fun small team of 4 staff.

Requirements:

Ideally a minimum of 12 years of previous bakery experience
Has a degree in pastry arts or several years experience in a bakery instead of formal education.
Ability to lift up to 20kg bags of flour and sugar
Valid Food Handler's Certificate

Hours are flexible, generally 3-5 days per week with around 25-35 hours per week.

We are closed every Saturday and all statutory holidays, so you will always have those days off to enjoy with friends and family.

We are a kosher bakery, so we are closed for all Jewish holidays and we are very flexible about giving time off for our staff for Christmas and other holidays.

We are closed every Stat holiday as well.

Salary:
$16.00-$18.00 per hour

Schedule:

8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:

We are curbside pickup and delivery only so no customers come into our location, very safe environment where all our current staff are triple vaccinated and wear masks during the day.
