Bring your creative culinary vision to life utilizing local produce, fare from local farms, a garden on-site surrounded by 30+ acres of vineyards with plenty of varieties.

This is the playground you've been waiting for We are looking for an Executive Chef that is hands-on, creative and innovative, to help us up the ante in Grand Bend with a true farm-to-table fine dining experience.

Our goal is to dazzle our guests with an elevated, one-of-a-kind, fine dining experience.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about thinking global while supporting local. Delight our guests with an authentic farm-to-table culinary experience.

We'll provide a fine-dining venue space to host it all, from intimate dinners, to a full-course banquet dinner for hundreds.

  • Build up a restaurant menu, banquet menu for weddings & corporate events and fulltime team

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Experience in a fastpaced environment while leading a full kitchen team
  • Monitoring prices set on a menu by overseeing and managing food ordering, inventory and supplies
  • Creation of seasonal, event and specialty menus
  • Working with food & beverage manager to ensure food, beverage and labour budgets are maintained and monitored
  • Supervising daily activities of the kitchen staff
  • Ensuring all kitchen equipment runs efficiently and effectively
  • Ownership & pride in providing exceptional quality food
  • Invested in team leadership

At Dark Horse Estate Winery, we're in the business of trailblazing.

We established the first estate winery on the shores of Lake Huron in Huron County, a brand-new wine region, in 2016.

Continually evolving, we're the dark horse in this race and now we want to dazzle our guests with an elevated, one-of-a-kind, culinary experience.
