This position is based in Vancouver All applicants must reside in British Columbia Canada About Zoic Zoic Studios is a Visual Effects company that specializes in high end visual effects for television film and advertising Our mantra is Visual Evolution - we focus on every part of the process from the final picture to pipeline used create them Are you looking for next creative technical challenge Come join team Why Join Zoic We are Artist owned operated VFX studio We love what do always stay curious about new technology techniques Work/life balance hectic industry Team walks life backgrounds Our Vancouver BC location interested hearing Intermediate-Senior Previs Artists future openings A Previs Artist at zoic studios works closely Creative Director/VFX Supervisor Camera Department Supervisor explore define shot sequence concepts You will craft camera movement composition rough world design staging lighting editing help establish visual language each project What Do Design shots sequences 3D Maya scripts storyboards creative kickoffs Apply strong sense camera composition lensing drive both rough final animation Source assets internal depots online resources support rough world design Create models rigs shaders when it more efficient build assets directly Help manage previs asset depots adding assets updating existing ones Roughly animate objects characters natural elements clearly communicate story intent Use lighting atmospheric effects mood emotional tone Edit previs shots into sequences roughly pacing occasionally matching audio cues timeline constraints Work within technical constraints allow easy conversion production shot work Create tech-vis setups support on-set teams providing information such as lens height tilt angle distance subject dimensions set builds Work fast pace typical television timelines keep supervisors updated estimates goals Act assist Layout Artist previs demands lighter including Building tracking matchmove work Framing plate cameras within environments Placing assets practical environments Building environments using CG assets Performing camera takeovers projection work Requirements Software Years experience doing Previs Layout Animation VFX film/TV Recent demo reel demonstrates experience Strong ability interpret understand story partial full scripts storyboards verbal kickoffs Deep knowledge Maya primarily animation mocap modeling viewport 2.0 lighting effects Knowledge real world lensing bodies formats vocabulary Basic editing skills Hiero DaVinci Resolve Adobe Premiere After Effects Shotgun windows experience Experience Unreal Engine Houdini Nuke plus Ability learn contribute existing pipelines Strong verbal communication skills Well organized adapt different shows pipelines Willingness attend dailies present work receive feedback Interest assisting training onboarding new artists Excitement learn software pipelines technology increase quality/efficiency Additional Information British Columbia Employees approximate Pay Range: $35 - $55 Candidates MUST located British Columbia Canada Some US candidates will considered At moment remote position option working studio Zoic does cover relocation costs Remote positions require candidate reliable internet connection via ethernet Pacific Standard Time This job description contains basic requirements position NOT intended complete list responsibilities duties assigned Due sheer volume applications regret only selected interview contacted Powered JazzHR
