We are currently recruiting for a temporary, full-time term Lead, Family Resource Network.


About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager,
FCSS, the Lead, Family Resource Network will provide vision and supervision to the Family Resource Network Team, which includes two direct reports.

This includes maintaining and enhancing relationships with public including residents, organizations, agencies as well as internal staff as required for the implementation of strategies.

They will also provide targeted to intensive in-home supports to families requiring services in order to meet residents' goals and needs.


This may include:

education and support of parenting and childhood development, working with appropriate stakeholders to advocate for client's needs and continue the work with those already involved with client, and building capacity in individuals through education and goal accomplishments.

This position will also manage the physical operations, safety, and maintenance of the Family Resources Network building, complete intake assessments, field referrals and connect families on program waitlists with interim support and resources.

They are also responsible for meeting reporting requirements as a Hub; this includes leading two other organizations attached to our grant as Spokes to maintain consistency across the region.

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the implementation of home visitation best practices approaches and curriculums
  • Develop partnerships and maintain ongoing contact with social services and other supportive agencies
  • Represent the City of Leduc on committees/coalitions as required
  • Participate in community, FRN and
    FCSS events to promote this and other program and services
  • Identify and support individual's at-risk and needing intense and targeted support and lead a team to respond
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and agencies to support resident in achieving goals/objectives
  • Assist and support the resident to navigate and access services and resources (eg. Subsidized programs, health care, etc.)
  • Respond to referrals for families from other agencies and
    FCSS
  • act as Hub Agency.
  • Complete relevant documentation and maintain records of all activities including assessment records, contact notes and referrals
  • Adhere to and manage FRN yearly budget and provide necessary data for reporting to province and ensure program outcomes are met through evaluation tools

Qualifications:

  • A diploma in social services and/or human services discipline
  • A minimum of five years' experience in related supervision and working oneonone with individuals and highrisk families, as well as working in partnerships with a variety of agencies
  • Demonstrate creative problem solving, conflict resolution, communication and decision making skills
  • Suicide intervention, mental health first aid, and standard first aid are required
  • Experience in crisis intervention, specifically related to working with children, adolescents and families
  • Proven knowledge of housing, employment, local social services and supportive agencies
  • Training in Reflective Supervision, Circle of Security, Nobody's Perfect, and Kimochi's would be considered an asset
  • Experience in Emergency Social Services is an asset
  • Specialized knowledge of adolescent development, mental health and addictions is an asset
  • Be willing to work flexible hours that may include evenings and weekends
  • Must have a vehicle for use in performing company business
  • Possess valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Must be willing to provide a current Criminal Records Check-Vulnerable Sector at own expense
  • Must be willing to provide a current Child Intervention Records Check at own expense
