    Brandt is currently looking for The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing in our Regina location. The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will develop strategies for identifying, developing, and sourcing finished products from overseas suppliers, including negotiating long-term deals with strategic partners as well as capitalizing on short term tactical needs as opportunities arise. This position requires in-depth knowledge of engineering and manufacturing practices with the ability to evaluate and vet potential suppliers on quality, competency, reliability, financial stability, and more. The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will lead a strong group of strategic sourcing engineers focused on delivery value and margin improvements across a breadth of product lines. This role will be accountable to ensure supplier diversification is maintained with an eye towards dual sourcing and risk mitigation efforts. The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing has multiple priorities, including the balance between activities required to meet the short-term business operational and financial objectives, as well as longer term organizational/technical development needs. This leader will partner with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Product Development, Engineering, Supply Planning, and Procurement to ensure that requirements are effectively addressed in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement world-class programs & standard processes to mitigate supply risk and optimize business
    requirements.
  • Create and execute sourcing strategies including development of supplier relationships to quickly resolve issues,
    reduce risk, improve quality, and decrease total cost. Ensure supplier alignment with the direction of the business.
  • Locate, evaluate, negotiate, and select suppliers and potential suppliers to gain the best quality, cost, and delivery
    of purchased material consistent with required standards.
  • Identify and achieve cost reductions through strong analytical and leadership skills, meeting year over year cost
    reduction goals.
  • Drafts, executes, and manages supply agreements across commodities, suppliers, products, and services.
  • Develop strategic sourcing plans to manage growth in raw material demand by identifying supplier capacity
    constraints and implementing plans to alleviate, including negotiating capacity expansion deals with existing
    suppliers and bringing on additional vendors to support growth.
  • Analyze financial implications of pricing trends for key raw materials and communicate effectively with Sales,
    Finance, Operations, and other key stakeholders to manage commercial changes necessary to operate the
    business effectively.

  • Identify and achieve cost reductions through strong analytical and leadership skills, meeting year over year cost
    reduction goals.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

  • 8 + years' experience in a product engineering design role
