Description
As a Meat Packer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and quality of our products. Your primary responsibilities will include handling, packaging, and transporting raw materials and finished products within our facility. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work in a cold environment.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Ensure food safety and proper handling of all products.
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials within the plant and warehouse, both manually and using equipment.
  • Load materials and products into packaging processing equipment.
  • Measure, weigh, and count product materials accurately.
  • Move or lift heavy objects (up to 100 lbs).
  • Load, unload, and stack products or materials efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Sort manufacturing materials or products as needed.
  • Operate packaging machine equipment.
  • Record product details and maintain accurate logs.
  • Inspect products and packaging for basic quality defects.
  • Clean work areas and equipment regularly.
  • Assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties.
  • Manually pack goods into bags, boxes, or other containers.
  • Perform tasks such as skinning chicken, trimming chicken products, cutting/splitting wings, and knife work.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Excellent control and active listening skills.
  • Ability to work in cold temperatures (10/+4 degrees C).
  • Capability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects (up to 100 lbs).
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Strong ability to take direction.
  • Punctual and reliable timekeeping.

Working Conditions:


  • Cold temperatures.
  • Must wear appropriate uniform, including hair nets, cloaks, and waterproof footwear.
