Under the responsibility of the Supplier Quality Manager the Nortera Foods Supplier Compliance Analyst will be responsible for assuming and realizing the following responsibilities and tasks:
- Responsible for the effective management/resolution/communication of supplier non-compliance issues, as well as the accurate maintenance of the supplier non-conformance database
- Proactively working with the plants and other internal and external stakeholders to investigate supplier noncompliance issues, to coordinate further actions, to capture all incident related costs, and to gather necessary evidence of disposition.
- Completing Claim Forms and Supplier nonconformance forms to send to suppliers.
- Monitoring inventory to ensure timely removal of rejected supplies and adequate coding of defective materials.
- Work with 3rd party warehouses to assist during investigation of product damages & returns and identification, disposal of affected inventory.
- Working with Suppliers to ensure an adequate RCA is provided to prevent reoccurring issues.
- Review and approve COA's (Certificates of Analysis) for purchased raw materials.
- Conduct quality cuttings to benchmark supplier quality.
- Participate in Supplyline software maintenance and new user training.
- Work on other continuous improvement quality systems projects as required by the Corporate Quality Team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or technical diploma in food science or other related field.
- A strong working knowledge of English is essential.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Autonomous and result driven.
- Strong relational skills and ability to implement change in a harmonious and efficient manner.
- Ability to prioritize and react to changing situations.
Assets:
- Previous experience in Quality Assurance.
- Knowledge of Fruit and/or Vegetable processing operations.
- Previous experience with GFSI, HACCP and other food safety certification programs and regulatory requirements.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Mastering English and knowledge of French/Spanish.
