THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Manager, Community Recreation, the Yoga Instructor plans, organizes and delivers Yoga classes. She/he demonstrates and instructs Yoga and fitness activities and techniques. She/he assembles supplies and equipment, as required. She/he attends to clients with special needs. She/he prepares class schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED Education, Certifications and Licenses**High school diploma
AND some years experience conducting Yoga classes

AND
Yoga Teachers Certificate

Current CPR and Basic First Aid qualifications

Experience
In planning, organizing, and delivering Yoga classes

In monitoring and controlling large groups of participants

In ensuring safety protocols and procedures

Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
English Essential, Bilingual an asset

Functional
