Reporting directly to the YTC Program Director of Health and Social Development, the Detox Center Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the overall detox program functions, policies, procedures, and services while ensuring efficient and effective operations of therapeutic services.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure quality coordination of services, standard of care, and staff skill development and competency.
  • Determine needs for additional support services and program objectives by developing, monitoring, and evaluating services offered.
  • Create and maintain operating budgets by ensuring program goals are being met and adhering to approved budgets.
  • Monitor expenses, monthly fiscal reports of appropriate utilization of facility resources and review quarterly withYTC Health Director
  • Responsible that all personnel decisions including but not limited to staffing, progressive discipline, staff evaluations, training needs etc. are properly recorded and submitted to the YTC Health Director.
  • Provide a healthy and productive work environment that reflects YTC CHD's mission statement and values.
  • Create and maintain policies and procedures in accordance to accreditation requirements.
  • Observe and evaluate group quality and provide feedback to staff and clients.
  • Work with the YTC Health Director to implement program changes and policies as needed.
  • Provide monthly reports to theYTC Health Director for feedback and support.
  • Work with the YTC Health Director in program maintenance to ensure the YTC CHD vision is being met.
  • Assist in the development of treatment plans.
  • Ensure that an intake and orientation plan is prepared for each new relative.
  • Ensure case management reviews are conducted weekly to include: the completion and implementation of assessments, initial/post treatment plans, subsequent revisions, evaluations, initial and subsequent progress reports, discharge plans, aftercare plans and all related documentation and reports.
  • Be on call after regular working hours periodically to attend to pressing issues.
  • Assist in the development of the annual detox budget, implementation and monitor program utilization, revenue, and expenses.
  • Develop and implement service reports for grant contracts.
  • Maintain effective relationships in the community and participation in interagency meetings as assigned and as appropriate.
  • Foster effective connections between patient, patient's family, referral sources and outpatient staff to ensure clear communication and treatment planning.
  • Perform community relations such as public speaking and attending communitybased events/meetings.
  • Liaise and advocate for client needs and services to support recovery and aftercare stability.
  • Supervise and monitor services and treatment provided by the detox program to ensure physical and mental wellbeing, safety, development, and quality care for participants.
  • Prepare and submit annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily reports as requested and required.
  • Report abuse, maltreatment, and patient grievances to the YTC Health Director
  • Ensure detox staff are routinely meeting and/or communicating with families, referents, and others to address complex needs of patients to include coordination of early discharge, patient pick up, scheduling and/or preparing list of potential referrals to higher level mental health resources, etc.
  • Ensure detox staff are completing all required patient treatment plans and case notes in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Oversight of scheduling, and adequate staffing coverage for program.
  • Ensure that all relevant regulations are adhered to and that all medical support staff are operating out of such regulations, guidelines, policies, procedures, and acts.
  • Work closely with ISC personnel in relation to all acts and regulations that govern the medical procedures of YTC CHD.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Minimum of five years clinical experience appropriate to the program will be an asset.
  • Minimum of two years management and supervisory experience in appropriate program setting
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered.
  • Knowledge of the biopsychosocial process of addiction/recovery, selfhelp group process and principles of counseling.
  • Thorough knowledge of budgeting principles, resource management, revenue management and development strategies.
  • A degree in Business Administration or Human Services related is a strong asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of therapeutic treatment and/or detox program processes.
  • Management and supervisor experience in detox setting will be an asset.
  • Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to promote positive interpersonal relations as a team player and independently.
