About this role:


At Citizens for the Advancement of Community Development (CACD), we' are all about empowering our youth in the community to develop a skill set necessary for success and social integration, through leadership training and mentoring programs.


Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Administrative and Funding Officer will be responsible for effective and efficient day-to-day board governance issues, providing administrative, policy and funding support to the supervisor.

This includes supporting the Board and staff with administrative tasks, taking minutes of meetings, and improving organizational processes.

The Administrative and Funding Officer must show initiative and work independently to facilitate the flow of information among the Executive Director, the Board and its committees, members, volunteers, funders and other stakeholders and to ensure the smooth functioning of the Executive Director's schedules.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform indepth research into grantmaking organizations, not limited to the organizations' criteria and regulations, to identify funding sources for specific projects and programs
  • Gather information about the available funding and arrange meetings with fund managers to understand the grant's expectations better.
  • Acquire and maintain sound knowledge and understanding of the organization. Use that knowledge and experience to comprehend better all projects and programs for which grants will be sought and recommend seeking donations
  • Collaborate with the organization's event planner, fundraising committee, and marketing & outreach coordinator by providing coordination support for the planning, development and implementation of a comprehensive fund development/fundraising program that secures significant financial resources
  • Support fund development and fundraising efforts by participating in the donor communication program and aiding the Executive Director in creating, executing, and coordinating fundraising campaigns to achieve financial goals and objectives.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive multimedia marketing plan that aligns with the online fundraising strategy, by managing various social media accounts and website platforms.
  • Assist in coordinating the design, printing and distribution of marketing and communication materials for development and promotional purposes
  • Assist with digital and marketing support for peertopeer fundraising activities using an interactive online fundraising platform
  • Organize interviews with donors, staff, volunteers, and clients using ethical approaches to collect their stories for creative storytelling purposes.
  • Engage in public relations events, including community fairs, outreach programs, presentations, and other communitybased initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining event records and the development of any other resources related to fundraising activities
  • Develop and manage a communication plan for donor recognition, including personalized letters, receipts, and correspondence to foster donor relationships
The administrative and Funding Officer will work closely with the E.D.

on events planning activities, program outreach, update of statistical information on volunteers, program participants and the various administrative duties as follows:


  • Researching and writing volunteer and staff policies and procedures, including risk assessments
  • Assist with outreach and networking responsibilities, and maintain relationships with parents, students, teachers, community leaders, and other individuals who may refer potential program participants. Seek partnerships with organizations that CACD may collaborate with.
  • Be a key player in the planning and preparation of ongoing events and activities
  • Maintain statistical information, update attendance, and maintain performance metrics
  • Offer administrative assistance to guarantee that organizational operations are practical, uptodate, and precise.
  • Review and update the Volunteer Screening Cycle, including planning, recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and supervision, and aid in volunteer and staff orientation.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum two years of general office administration experience, including organization of office systems and procedures,
  • Experience and competence with Microsoft Office 365 and Google Workspace
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Office 365 Teams platform, Adobe Creative Suite, desktop publishing or graphic design, social media tools and related programs
  • Strong organizational, communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use creativity that inspires donor engagement and knowledge of best practices for nonprofit storytelling.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously and exercise good judgment,
  • On occasions, be able to work up to 6 P.M. to accommodate after school program, in the evenings,
