Corner T.I. Station

Position:
Full-Time, Permanent

Salary:
From $20/h

Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:30- 5:00 pm

Reports to:
Production Department Supervisor

Summary:

Corner Shift 1 is an "Inside Corner/TI Station" and will be managing raw materials for the production (protein) department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages the input of raw material, making sure that they are being scanned in (weight vs case) as requested;
Updating or loading orders and meat cutters at the same time (Inventory what is required;
Maintains the corner/coolers and defrost cleanliness in accordance with HACCP/CFIA regulations;
Opening meat/products as needed.
Weighing fat, trim, and steak pieces from the cutters using the TI station
Must organize the area before leaving for the day so as not to interfere with delays in preop;
NOTE: Never pull any raw material without proper request or scanning.
When needed, help to portion with the production team.
Racking/thawing meat as needed.
Packing of raw materials as needed.
Loading of defrost room/cooler/racking as needed. Rotate loading/scanning of raw materials as needed.
Plan and execute production to fulfill all regulatory as well as SQF requirements.
Perform any other duties as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
Experience is an asset
Effective communication and collaboration
Handling heavy loads and manual dexterity
Combination of sitting, standing,, bending, crouching,kneeling and walking for extended periods
Attention to detail, decision making and critical thinking skills
Exposure to noise, odors, and cold (refrigeration)
Job task planning, organizing, and continuous learning
