JOB SUMMARY:
The Dietary Server is a key member of the dietary team.

This is primarily a customer service position focused on excellent delivery of customer meals and snacks as well as cleaning and maintaining sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining room.

QUALIFICATION:

• Completion of a recognized food services course, serving experience or combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Customer service experience with a 'customer's first' attitude.
• Knowledge and experience in quantity food service.
• Previous experience working with seniors, preferably in retirement or longterm care.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand and walk short distances throughout the shift.
• Ability to tolerate heat from kitchen area.
• Ability to understand oral and written directions.
• Working knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) and Occupational Health and Safety.
• Working knowledge of the Retirement Homes Act and how it applies to food service standards.
• Excellent attendance is essential.
• Customer Service experience and ability to demonstrate commitment to customer and family centered care.
• Previous experience working with vulnerable sector people who are declining with age related health conditions is an asset.

From $15.50 per hour

• Pembroke, ON K8A 2K5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

- dietary aide: 1 year (preferred)
