Equipment Operator and Delivery Driver
Job responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as loaders and tub grinders
- Load and unload materials onto trucks and trailers using equipment
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning and maintenance needs
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, such as checking fluids and lubricants, replacing parts, and cleaning
- Follow safety procedures when operating equipment and working in the yard and on job sites
- Plan and schedule delivery routes to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Follow traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicles
- Complete necessary paperwork and logbooks, such as delivery tickets, time sheets and maintenance records
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to provide excellent service and address any concerns or issues

Education/Assets
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment, such as loaders and tub grinders
- Valid commercial drivers license (DZ) with clean driving record and 3 year letter of experience
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations when operating equipment and transporting materials
- Strong organizational skills to plan and scheduled delivery routes
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate equipment for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as needed
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods of time.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
Working Conditions:
- Work independently
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions
- May need to work weekends and evenings
- Exposure to dust, dirt, and noise from equipment and machinery
Job Types:
Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months
Part-time hours: 24 per week
Salary:
$23.00-$28.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
