- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Perform laboratory tests such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during surgeries
- Educate clients on animal care, medication administration, and preventive health measures
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with regulations
- Diploma in Veterinary Technology from an accredited institution
- Registered or eligible for registration with the New Brunswick Veterinary Medical Association
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital is preferred
