Your daily role:

As part of its Research & Development activities, Nortera would like to offer an internship in Microbiology & Food Safety to join us.

Study of the microbial load of vegetable washing/transport water;
Development validation of the analytical method to be used;
Perform microbiological analyses of products and production environment;
Evaluation of the efficacy of antimicrobial products;
Improvement of documentation/data processing tool for microbiological results;
Analysis of results;
Produce a technical reference document.

Various tasks will be carried out during this internship (independently, but with supervision):

Sampling and microbiological analysis of samples (products and environment) (e.g. culture and PCR techniques);
Management of samples and results with external and internal laboratories;
Participate in improving documentation/data processing of microbiological results.
Followup with sites to document nonconformities;
Analyze results and propose potential improvements to the microbiological monitoring program;
Literature reviews;
Consolidate the knowledge of inhouse experts at the various plants.
