As Brock Solutions continues to grow and respond to the on-going requirements of major clients, we need to add talent to our base of outstanding professionals.

We are currently seeking a Contract Support Specialist to join our team of experienced professionals located at our head office in Kitchener, ON, Vancouver, BC, Irving, TX or remotely (anywhere in Canada or the US).

As part of our fast-paced business development team, you will be responsible for coordinating RFP reviews with inhouse legal counsel, evaluating and mitigating risks during the bid phase, and taking successful proposals all the way to contract finalization, with a focus on reviewing and developing scopes of work and securing inhouse counsel and management approval of the contractual terms and conditions.

The role will also involve the review and/or preparation of various other types of documents such as Purchase Orders and NDAs.

Responsibilities may include:


  • Participates in reviews and approvals of draft contracts during the bid phase.
  • Escalate contract issues and disputes to legal counsel as needed.
  • Drafts and reviews statements of work in collaboration with sales and project teams.
  • Ensures that contracts and statements of work are compliant with bid requirements and applicable policies.
  • Manage and administer the contract for the contracting lifecycle.
  • Ensures the timely communication of contract information with management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications Required:

  • 24 years of experience in a similar role
  • A background in engineering, software and/or construction projects.
  • Experience drafting and reviewing statements of work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • An ability to think innovatively and creatively, with a forensic attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Post secondary education in a relevant field.

Nice to Haves:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, science, or a related field (e.g business, or finance). (Law degree not required)
  • Experience with construction or public sector contracts
  • Experience in addressing contractual issues in SaaS, cloud, data security, privacy, and intellectual property matters
