Description

Marathon Underground Constructors Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Horizontal Auger Boring Machine Operator to join our team.

Responsibilities and Duties

Operation of horizontal boring machine equipment, American Augers 48/54900, 60"/1200 or similar
Read and interpret project plans, diagrams and locates
Work under customers standards related to boring; adhering to site specific rules and regulations
Record daily boring logs, maintain accurate daily journals
Performs all other duties as required by supervisor/manager

Experience and requirements:

Minimum 2year experience on horizontal auger boring machines
Substantial experience in operation of heavy machinery and construction
Valid drivers License and clean abstract
Ability to read plans and locates is a must.

Job Environment:

Our sites are located outside and operate yearround, must be able to work in varied outdoor weather conditions including extreme temperatures.
Must be in good physical condition (Heavy Lifting required 50+ lbs)
Must be able to work safely, both independently and also as part of a team
Must adhere to all company specific policies and regulations
Adheres to Health & Safety requirement, including Book 7 standards for traffic conditions
This position will require travel within Canada
Wage is determined by the current Union rate

Our head office is located in Greely Ontario and not currently accessible via public transportation, as such reliable personal transportation is required for this position.
