Job Title:
Production Supervisor
-
Duties and Responsibilities:_
Manage the shift and all related production, quality, and shipping activities during that shift.
Responsible for initiating actions to comply with all IATF 16949 requirements as defined in the Rice Tool & Manufacturing Inc.

Supervision and Leadership:_
- Responsible for all daytoday shift operations, including progressive discipline.
- Controlling shift punctuality, start, break & end of shift times.
- Train and Coach employees of all job functions they are required to perform including safety, operations, expectations & policies in ways to improve their personal performance.
Health & Safety:_
- Safety and welfare of the employees per OSHA & Rice Tool's "Health and Safety Manual" policies and procedures.
- Safe operation of machines and equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Maintain lockout procedures.
Productivity:_
- Documentation of problems pertaining to production, machine operations.
- Conduct and document the setting up of machines, tool changes and machine adjustments as required meeting specifications.
- Shipping, receiving, and material handling when warehouse staff is unavailable.
- Continuous improvement of all conditions in the manufacturing environment or operations.
Qualifications:_
The following are the minimum qualifications required for someone to be considered for this position, to successfully perform the job.
- Grade 12 or equivalent experience.
- First-Aid & Forklift certified.
- Able to read, write and communicate in English.
- Previous Supervisory training or skills (minimum 3 years).
- Able to lead, train in a teamoriented environment.
- Teach mechanical skills.
- OSHA literate.
- Ability to analyze SPC charts.
