Responsibilities:


  • Operate our packaging equipment and operate a forklift.
  • Sample customer product(s) for laboratory testing.
  • Code customer product(s).
  • Prepare and clean trailers and hopper cars in preparation for loading.
  • Complete daily equipment check sheets.
  • Load trailers and hopper cars according to procedure; clean hopper car screens and hoses as required.
  • Transfer hopper cars and transport trailers in and out of the Warehouse Bldg.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Complete all work orders, assignments, and priority work lists as assigned consistent with our commitment to ontime performance.
  • Prepare and maintain all required reports and related documentation.
  • Perform all required tasks in a manner consistent with the needs of our customers, our safety procedures and policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:


  • AZ or DZ license or experience is a definite asset
  • Post secondary school is considered an asset for this role
  • Valid forklift certificate.
  • Several years of experience as a Material Handler is an asset.
  • Experience in a largescale manufacturing and/or continuous process environment is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and the environment.

Work Conditions/Schedule

  • Able to climb stairs and ladders on a regular basis; work at heights and work in dusty environments.
  • Able to work outdoors and in all weather conditions; able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Able to operate basic mechanical tools safely and efficiently
  • Able to work continental rotating shift work (ie, 2, 2, 3); including alternating weekends, nights (2weeks days/2weeks nights) and holidays.
  • 12hours shifts: 80hours per 2week period.
  • Overtime as required
