KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Social media management:
- Develop and implement a storytellingbased strategy tailored to our audiences (young people and teachers/adults) on various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn).
- Create content for social media (image, text, video, including in front of the camera)
- Monitor and analyze our social media strategy based on statistics and make recommendations
- Foster an active and engaged online community
- Gather interesting content to showcase, from French for the Future program participants
- Keep abreast of the latest technology and platforms used by our audiences
Press and public relations:
- Write press releases, in French and English
- Act as the main point of contact for print, radio and television media, and conduct interviews to promote French for the Future programs.
- Maintain relationships and foster collaboration with our partners
- Act as a point of contact for partners for the purchase and sale of advertising placements and for visibility exchanges.
- Represent French for the Future at public events, such as conferences, partner meetings, etc.
Communications:
- Write, edit and format documentation to promote the organization and its programs, in collaboration with a graphic designer (flyers, posters, etc.).
- Coordinate with translation services when necessary
Programs:
- Develop and implement the social media component of French for the Future program communications plans.
- Contribute to the development of programrelated marketing content (written, visual, video productions, etc.)
- Manage promotional material inventories and supplier relations
- Contribute to the creation of various reports (quarterly reports, annual report, report on campaign results).
- Perform other administrative tasks as required
PERSONAL QUALITIES
- Passionate about social media
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to reach out to others, create and maintain excellent working relationships
- Enjoys working with and connecting with youth
- Excellent oral communication skills, whether on camera, for interviews, presentations or conferences
- Highly creative
- Knowledge of Frenchspeaking Canada, particularly outside Quebec, and of French as an additional language's community
- Knowledge of and interest in pop culture an asset
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Extensive knowledge of the following social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn
- Ability to use creative tools (CapCut, Canva, Adobe Suite or others) and HootSuite (or similar)
- Excellent writing skills in French and English
- Visual design
- Proven work experience in marketing/communications/public relations. Knowledge of the nonprofit sector is an asset.
- University degree or postsecondary certificate/diploma or college diploma in a relevant field (communications, marketing, journalism, video, business, human resources, etc.).
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Demonstrates leadership, professionalism and strong work ethic
- Autonomous, flexible, solutionoriented and able to make decisions
- Occasionally available to work weekends (when traveling for events and conferences, within Canada, approximately 56 times a year)
OTHER CRITERIA
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Permanent fulltime position, with a threemonth probation period.
- Hybrid work environment, with two days a week in the office as part of a team.
- Excellent health insurance 100% paid by the organization starting at the end of the probationary period.
