***: The
Reclamation Team Lead role in our Edmonton or Calgary office is to participate in the leadership of the

Conservation and Reclamation group to lead a diverse group of professionals to execute exciting and dynamic projects throughout western Canada.

Strong leadership, communication, technical, organizational, and leadership skills are key considerations for this position to support the growth and development of
Ecoventure.

The project work is centred mainly in Alberta, and the position will require some travel to remote work sites to supervise and mentor team members.

People:


  • People management within the business line through supervision of business unit Project
Coordinators, Intermediate Technical, Environmental Consultants, and dedicated support staff.

  • Resource management and project staff allocation.
  • Training and mentoring of team members and development of PD plans for staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide continual feedback to team members.
  • Provide recommendations for hiring and staff allocation within the business unit.
  • Uphold Ecoventure's strong commitment to the Health and Safety Program.
  • Represent Ecoventure in conferences and industry seminars and liaise with all stakeholder levels.

Project and Program Management:


  • Project budget, logistics, and schedule management and reporting.
  • Proposal preparation and cost estimating.
  • Supervise project and program execution and tracking for the group.
  • Liaise with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in business development.
  • Uphold Ecoventure's Quality Management System.

Technical:


  • Manage and supervise the execution of Conservation and Reclamation projects, including:
  • Preparation of reclamation plans and cost estimates,
  • Soil classification and mapping,
  • Reclamation site inspections,
- major and minor reclamation projects involving heavy equipment and

  • Aggressive vegetation and revegetation management programs.
  • Complete and provide professional signoff on Detailed Site Assessments (DSA) (soils & vegetation) and DSA Record of Observation (RoO).
  • Review Reclamation Certificate Applications, Acknowledgement of Reclamation and
Certificate of Restoration packages.

  • Assist on Assessment and Remediation Projects as required; and,
  • Mentor junior staff.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or diploma specializing in soil science, natural resources management or environmental sciences appropriate to the work description.
  • Currently holds a professional designation as P.Ag., P.Biol., P.Chem., P.Eng., P.Geo., or R.T.Ag.
  • 8+ years of practical experience in the execution of reclamation in the oil and gas industry in western
Canada.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, problemsolving, interpersonal, leadership, and conflict management skills.
  • Strong soil classification, vegetation identification, and surface reclamation technical expertise.
  • Strong understanding of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and GIS
Software.

  • Proficient in using industry software and systems such as Siteview, Petrosight, OneStop, etc.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
  • H2S, First Aid and CPR, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance Level II, ATV Training, and a clean driving record are required for this position.
