Kia of St Catharines - Service Advisor

Kia of St Catharines is looking for a positive, energetic, career minded individual to join our team as a Service Advisor.

The Service Advisor is the key public relations role within the service department. The primary impression of our company is, in part, a result of how we service what we sell. As such, the Service Advisor must be both tactful and realistic in the client relationship. You are a bright, energetic, well spoken, solution oriented individual who believes that the path to success is paved with hard work, dedication, and exceptional customer service.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills, proficiency in computers, phone skills and have the ability to multi-task. Applicants who have experience in service advising, warranty administration, retail sales, have CDK experience, or as an automotive service technician will be given preference. Previous automotive service experience is considered a strong asset but we will provide extensive training to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Effectively communicate with clients in person, by phone and by e-mail
  • Positively and proactively work with our clients to guide them through the service experience, adhering to our defined processes and guidelines
  • Ensure all processes are followed during customer visit to maximize CSI results
  • Accurately complete administrative responsibilities and paperwork
  • Review customer information and update all specified client details
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a positive and exciting work environment that promotes strong service, good morale, and continuous growth, by showing up with a bright, positive attitude each day, and supporting peers
  • Customer retention activities

Requirements:

  • Have 1-2 years experience in a service advisor/related role
  • Must have strong customer service skills
  • Automotive knowledge is a strong asset
  • Dealership experience is a strong asset
  • CDK experience is an asset
  • MS Word, Excel experience an asset
  • Able to work with all levels of management and staff
  • Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
