Development Assistant

Purpose

The Development Assistant will report to the Director of Development. This role is integral to successful fund development at AdaptAbilities.

They are responsible for taking on a variety of tasks that allow for the successful completion of planned fund development programs.

The conscientious Development Assistant will act with integrity, be open to growth, live our purpose, cultivate teamwork, and put forth an extraordinary effort to empower people with diverse abilities and their families to grow, succeed, and belong.

Key Functions

  • Collaborate with the Director of Development and partners in fund development and comumunications
  • Assist the Director of Development in fund development activities
  • Provide administrative and project support
  • Donor database work and tax receipts for donors
  • Research potential additional sources of funding

Qualifications:


  • Minimum education requirement of a High School Diploma and currently enrolled in a postsecondary program. May consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a nonprofit organization is an asset
  • Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
Working Conditions

This is a full-time, temporary position from April 29, 2024 to August 16, 2024.

The start date for this position is flexible between April 22 and 29, 2024 and this position is a 16-week contract.

The position is based out of our Support Office and shifts are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs Grant (CSJG), which requires that the employee must be legally entitled to work in Canada and between the ages of International students are not eligible.


Compensation:
$18.39 to $19.47 per hour depending on experience and education
