The position:

We are actively seeking a Structural E.I.T. at our growing location in Ottawa, ON.

What will you be doing?

Collect client and project information and prepare structural designs/drawings in accordance with best practice design and relevant codes and
Working with project engineers to assist in coordination of drawings sets with client expectations including architectural coordination, value engineering and industry standard practices
Use AutoCAD to prepare 2D drawing sets for construction level documents in various materials (wood, steel, concrete, precast products, etc.).
Use Revit to prepare 3D Building Information (BIM) models and export to 2D drawing
Coordinate structural design with Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and other project consultants under the direction of the project
Visit project site to collect required
Visit Construction site to complete construction
Performs other duties as assigned by project

What you bring?

A diploma in structural design with a minimum of 510 years experience
Experience designing multifamily residential buildings
Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit
Basic design experience in wood, steel and/or concrete would be an asset
Fluent in English
Comfortable multitasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance
Being a natural selfstarter with the ability to prioritize, selfschedule, meet tight deadlines, and work with colleagues from various departments, market sectors, and locations
