Responsibilities:

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Environment & Social Risk Team.

The Environmental and Social Risks ("ESR") Team is part of SG's Risk Management division in the Americas Region (the "RISQ Division" or "RISQ").

RISQ's mission is to independently analyze, challenge, opine and monitor the risk-taking activities of the Business Lines in order to get the best possible outcome for the Bank.

The RISQ division supports activities in the Americas Region (US, Canada and Latin America), which are almost exclusively Corporate & Investment Banking activities.

Environmental & Social risks management consists of identifying, measuring, assessing, monitoring, controlling, and reporting the impact of environmental and social risk factors on all existing risks faced by SG Americas activities.

IE mission:

  • Project management update project plan, followup with action items, coordinate responses;
  • Interact with Risk teams and Business Lines to understand business issues and actively define and implement solutions;
  • Process optimization identify issues and design technical solutions to improve Risk Management efficiency and capabilities;
  • Data contribute to the data management of the team, including data collection, preprocessing, visualization and indicators/metrics computation;
  • Reporting build insightful reports and dashboards to improve ESG Risk Monitoring efficiency, improve tracking of Key Performance Indicators and Key Metrics and improve reporting capabilities;
  • Research research E&S Risk Innovation trends and topics through networking, conferences and assess applicability to SG's risk management culture.

Profile required:


Your profile:

  • Fluent/working proficiency in English (all work will be conducted in English)
  • While not required, prior experience in corporate and investment banking, financial institutions or consulting would be desirable

Essential required skills:

  • Comfortable with working in a complex, fastpaced, highly collaborative and dynamic work environment
  • Project management experience
  • Superior organization skills with ability to manage multiple topics and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt messaging to a variety of targeted audiences
  • Creativity and innovative mindset to problem solving
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Capacity to challenge traditional processes
  • Ability to manage own priorities and meet deadlines

Bonus skills:

  • Passion and or knowledge for Climate Related Financial Risks, Sustainable Finance or Sustainable Development
  • Data management and data analysis skills including data visualization (e.g., Power BI)
The VIE assignment in a nutshell

In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
