Key functions of the role:

Prepare and manage the budgeting process for the FortisOntario group of companies.
Prepare variance analysis, quality/completeness testing of budget inputs.
Coordinate and facilitate the Executive Budget Presentations.
Prepare monthly managers' report and assess the reasonableness of the variance analysis.
Prepare pension filings to Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario.
Preparing/provide support in the preparation of various journal entries as part of monthend close process.
Internal and external reporting and data analysis.
Quarterly preparation of audit binder sections.
Aid the department in streamlining document file management including the compilation and storage of business processes for various functions within the department.
Special projects and departmental support as required.
Post secondary education in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and/or Finance.
Chartered Professional Accountant ("CPA") designation or actively enrolled in the CPA program.
Minimum of 3 years related work experience in corporate accounting environment.
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (GAAP/ASPE and USGAAP).
Strong computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite (including Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel) and Adobe.
Working Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system would be an asset.
Knowledge of OEB Regulatory Requirements and Framework would be an asset.
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Keen attention to detail.
Excellent team player with the ability to work well independently.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
