Responsibilities:


  • Perform a visual inspection of the machine prior to startup (ensure all guards are in place prior to operation)
  • Ensure you have all papers i. e. Schedule sheet, downtime, scaling sheets prior to startup
  • Ensure to have all necessary tools to perform the job upon start of shift and that they are clean and in good repair
  • Ensure all assigned operator documentation is maintained and complete i.e. down time, dough and Scaling sheets
  • React expediently and efficiently to all issues
  • Report all deficiencies to Leadhand and Supervisor
  • Keep work area and equipment i.e. belts, rollers etc., clean and tidy throughout shift
  • Work closely with Leadhand and Mixer
  • Assist with loading or scaling of ingredient when necessary
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibilities specific to food safety, legality and quality
  • Adhere to all applicable job procedures as outlined in SOP manual
  • Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in employee handbook
  • Keep work area clean and clear of hazards
  • Report any unsafe conditions, incidents or injuries to supervisor immediately
  • Use all prescribed personal protective equipment
  • Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are being followed
  • All tools to be cleaned and maintained in good repair. Report any broken, damaged, or missing tools to your supervisor. Do not discard any damaged or broken tools.
  • Follow all GMPs including maintaining personal hygiene, handwashing/sanitizing hands, clean up spills (i

e:
ingredients, water, debris and wood)

  • Report any foreign material findings to your supervisor
  • As part of food security, report any unusual people or behaviours to your supervisor
  • Perform all other duties assigned

Qualifications:


  • A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must work with speed and accuracy to keep up with the production process
  • Effective communicator, organized, and a team player
  • Must have excellent attendance and work habits
  • GMP and safety awareness
