How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?:
The main object and purpose of this position consist in overseeing and ensuring efficient operation of the CO2 Plant Process Operations.
Ensures plant operation:
Ensures plant start-up and operation, and stops plant operations in a safe manner. Is responsible for loading and unloading railcars with carbon dioxide. Ensures compliance to procedures that are implemented within the Process Industries Group Quality System. Performs tests to verify plant performance if necessary.
Perform gas/ liquid analysis and ensure good functioning of the equipment: uses gas chromatography and other techniques to analyze carbon dioxide in order to quantify the concentration of the components of interest.
Ensures that the plant equipment complies with standards and that scales, pressures gauges and other instruments are calibrated in keeping with ALC's specifications.
Ensures equipment maintenance:
Takes part in the annual planning of mechanical, electrical, and other maintenance. Makes recommendations to his/her supervisor through observations on equipment operation. Ensures periodic equipment maintenance is done as scheduled in the maintenance program and maintains records. Supervises the work of subcontractors and intervenes in the event of an equipment breakdown. Undertakes small maintenance projects based on his/her competencies and with the supervisor's authorization.
Ensures administrative follow-up: Fills out and communicates incident reports. Enters daily production data into the system.
Ensures process improvement:
Works in cooperation with his/her team and cross-functional teams to continuously improve work processes. Analyzes his/her activity, identifies causes of problems and proposes adapted corrective actions.
Provides customer service:
Maintains courteous relations with customers and suppliers. Satisfies obligations with respect to customers/suppliers in keeping with the agreement between Air Liquide and its customers / suppliers. Informs his/her supervisor of any requests from customer/ suppliers, so that it is transmitted to the department concerned. Identifies potential products and services to be offered to customers / suppliers.

Are you a MATCH?:
REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 to 5 years' experience in the industrial/ related field.
- Diploma : Secondary studies degree with pertinent experience, or postsecondary studies degree in petrochemical science or related field.
- Training : Quality Management System (ISO), Air Liquide Management System (ALMS)
- Knowledge: Gas properties, computerized systems, MS Office, oral and written communication skills, mathematical skills, Chemistry knowledge, WHMIS, transportation and handling of dangerous goods. The incumbent must have good knowledge on control systems.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Availability: 8 to 12 hour work shifts, on call.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Good physical condition; capable of working in elevated areas.
- They are going to be tested for : Audiometric Screen, Breath Alcohol, Urine Express Panel 5, 35LB FitnesstoWork, and Vision Test.
