SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Base Radio Operator is a hands-on position and is responsible for controlling and coordinating all mountain communications and activities.

Based in our Operations Administration hub this position works with all resort departments to ensure the resort runs smoothly.

THIS POSITION IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF:
You possess excellent communication and organization skills.

You can work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.

You are able to work 6:00am-2:30pm shift

You can monitor radio and telephone communications simultaneously.

You can provide administrative support to the Operations Manager, Safety Manager and other key personnel in the Operations Department.

You can follow instruction and work independently, taking initiative to identify and complete work projects.

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent and clear communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with staff and supervisory personnel.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

The ability to work well under pressure in a busy work environment and able to reason and react with quick, thoughtful judgment.

Knowledge of resort operations and local terrain an asset.

Competent knowledge of Microsoft and Google Docs an asset.

Able to be a supportive team member.

Own transportation to commute to Mt Seymour

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Seasonal position, November thru to mid-April.

Hourly wage.

Complimentary Season's pass and shuttle bus pass.
