Briere Production Group is a Premier Audio, Lighting, Video and Transportation company providing Technical Support and Management for Tours, Concerts, Festivals and Events across Canada and the USA.

Originally established as an Audio House in 1996, Briere Production Group (BPG) has since evolved into a full production company to offer complete Audio, Lighting, Video, Transportation, Staging and Backline solutions.


Position Overview:


Reporting to the CEO and designated management in our
Burnaby-based warehouse, you will be responsible for ensuring the success of show and event productions by managing & coordinating the technical aspects of the Operations department while supporting and collaborating with the Warehouse, Transportation, Finance and Sales departments.

With a mind toward efficiency, safety and continuous improvement, the Operations Manager will be responsible for directing, training, and assisting the Operations and Warehousing teams.


Responsibilities:


  • Plan and Manage required Equipment, Labour and Logistics resources to meet deadlines
  • Risk Mitigation Planning
  • Lead regular meetings with operations and other teams to articulate priorities on a daily/weekly basis, ensuring work plans are designed and executed in conjunction with priorities.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Accomplish production results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Foster collaborative relationships among management teams, departments, contractors, support services and other stakeholders.

Requirements:


  • Diploma in Business Operations Management
  • Postsecondary degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Operations Management
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Strong understanding of audio, lighting, video and staging in concert, theatre, television, and architectural practices
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Strong problemsolving skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances

Salary:
$70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
