Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is an industry-leading transportation and midstream provider specializing in transportation, storage, processing and marketing solutions for crude oil and natural gas liquids (NGLs).

PMC also operates strategically-located facilities for crude oil and NGL storage, separates NGL from natural gas and fractionates NGL into pure liquid petroleum gas (LPG) products, including propane and butane.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide contributions to the financial models for reporting, short, and longterm forecasting.
  • Gather key performance metrics, estimates, and assumptions for use in transportation models.
  • Prepare and book pipeline tariff and other revenue estimates and actuals.
  • Prepare and book operating expense accruals.
  • Prepare and book trucking invoices and accruals.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify discrepancies and resolve outstanding issues.
  • Complete monthly account reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for internal and external requirements.
  • Continually identify areas of improvement, documenting potential efficiencies and participating in process improvement opportunities.
  • Optimize existing processes by evaluating current systems to identify inconsistencies or opportunities.
  • Complete ad hoc analytical assignments and reporting as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 13 years' relevant experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and/or OpenLink RightAngle considered an asset.
  • Working towards CPA designation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; must possess advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate working relationships with multiple departments.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks and responsibilities within established deadlines.
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
