    Your work environment at EXP

    EXP is currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Building Science Team in the Brampton office. Reporting to the Team Lead - Building Envelope Rehabilitation, the successful applicant will provide appropriate technical services to Project Managers for those projects to which they have been assigned.

    What a day at EXP has in store for you

    • Assessment of as built and performance condition of building envelope assemblies in existing buildings.
    • Report writing that includes recommendations and opinion of probable costs.
    • Onsite validation of existing drawings with the as-built and performance condition..
    • Preparation of drawings and specification for the remedial measures.
    • Construction contract administration that includes quantity tracking, schedule tracking, progress review validation, issuing change orders and RFIs, and issuing completion certificates
    • Site reviews during the construction process to observe general conformance with applicable standards and design documents and issue field observation reports.
    • Attendance and taking meeting minutes during construction progress meetings.

    What your experience looks like

    • Diploma/degree in a related field of study such as Building Science, Architectural Science, Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering.
    • Knowledge of building assessment, design, and construction projects.
    • Proficient with AutoCAD would be an asset.
    • 3 -5 years of relevant experience with a drive to grow into a project management role
    • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word and Excel).
    • Working Knowledge of Microsoft Projects would be an asset.
    • Knowledge of building Code and relevant standards.
    • A valid driver's license with own vehicle and travel throughout GTA and Southern Ontario is required.
    • The successful candidate will require excellent organizational skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Experience working closely with contractors, and clients is a must.
    • WHMIS, Working from Heights and swing stage/elevated platform training will be provided but considered an asset for this position. This role will require completing reviews from vertical lift equipment and swing stages.
