Role and Responsibilities


The
AR & AP Manager will ensure the efficient processing and maintenance of accounts payable/receivable transactions for our North American operations, including the timely processing and distribution of invoices (working with our Business Units), maintaining accurate records while sustaining positive customer service, as well as supplier relationships.

They will also support our global AR & AP teams, with non-North American accounts as needed.

The
AR & AP Manager will ideally bring a background in project-based business and/or large public tenders. They will have experience working in complex suppliers/contractors' situations where Innovasea is part of a broader chain.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Set objectives for the AR & AP team that align with the Finance department
  • Directly manage complex invoicing on international projects with our businesses,
  • Lead, train, and mentor a team, optimizing their performance and supporting professional growth
  • Drive crossfunctional collaboration, ensuring cohesive teamwork and effective internal communication
  • Provide essential data, reports, and documentation for internal and external audits
  • Propose improvements to current set up (including systems) and help define our go forward AP/AR strategy
  • Assist with annual audit
  • Special projects as required

Required Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience
  • Must have experience managing a team in multisite environment
  • A/P invoice processing, discrepancy resolution
  • A/R collection experience particularly in project environment
  • Some debt collection experience (for the US preferably)
  • Experience with electronic filing government platforms (IPP in the US)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with remote supervision while under pressure of deadlines and provide high degree of accuracy
  • Must be a team player with the ability to interact effectively with all employee levels in a positive, cooperative, and productive manner
  • Ability to travel two to four times a year to Boston, Massachusetts, USA (and potentially to other company sites)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or other relevant field
  • Master's in accounting or CPA preferred

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Experience with ERP systems and related technologies (Syspro)
  • Experience working with Adaptive Insights
  • Manufacturing and/or SaaS KPI's implementation
