    We are looking for a Construction Site Supervisor at our Cedarwell Excavating Inc. location, a division of Walker Industries.

    Construction Site Supervisor

    We are looking for an experienced Construction Site Supervisor to assist in the execution of Construction projects in the Grey-Bruce region.

    This position would be working full-time across our various construction sites in Grey and Bruce Counties. There is potential for growth within the company.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Road Building, sewer and water construction, earth work
    • Consult blueprints, designs, and clients' instructions to develop construction plans for projects/teams
    • Manage construction sites, ensuring that workers adhere to construction plans and safety codes
    • Document all costs and ensure that expenses never exceed construction budget
    • Works with Management to establish employee schedules, project schedule, and project/task deadlines
    • Assist with resolving any issues throughout project life cycle
    • Track and report project milestones and provide regular status updates
    • Measure results and assist with completing a post-project evaluation to determine how well results were achieved
    • Project layout using GPS, laser, tape measures etc.,

    Qualifications & Skills

    • 3-5 years' experience in the construction industry, with minimum of 3 years direct field experience
    • One-year diploma or an equivalent level of education
    • Valid G Class Driver License
    • Ability to set and maintain clear expectations for quality of workmanship and productivity
    • Demonstrated ability to plan and oversee the routine workload of a team and provide constructive performance feedback
    • Time management, especially of competing priorities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems
    • Well-rounded knowledge of the construction industry
    • Comfortable with Excel, and GPS experience an asset
