Job Purpose:

Reporting to Team Lead, Pharmaceutical Strategies Operations, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of patient assistance and reimbursement programs to ensure successful daytoday program operations._

Principal Responsibilities:

- _Maintain the day-to-day operation of patient assistance and reimbursement programs by demonstrating in-depth knowledge on program set-up and design._
- _Understand how program coverage is intended and may be affected by various adjudication factors to advise on how coverage needs be adjusted to meet the clients' needs._
- _Verify, monitor and investigate incoming inquiries to the central department inbox to ensure clients are responded to in an adequate and timely manner._
- _Perform data analysis of drug claims bi-weekly to confirm that programs are operating as intended and adjudication is paying out claims as approved by the clients._
- _Provide customized reports as required to support the Pharmaceutical Strategies team._
- _Coordinate card order fulfillment and inventory tracking as required by the programs._
- _Communicate with pharmacies to resolve adjudication challenges, provincial PharmaCare governing bodies to gather provincial coverage information and drug manufacturers on occasion when needed._
- _Perform other duties as assigned to support the Company_

Knowledge, skills and experience:

- _Post-secondary education a must_
- _Completion of a recognized college level Pharmacy Technician Program an asset_
- _At least 1-year experience in a retail pharmacy_
- _Experience in the pharmaceutical or claims adjudicator / insurance industry an asset_
- _Proven ability to manage time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines_
- _General knowledge of reimbursement, patient assistance programs, database elements and functionality an asset_
- _Excellent analytical and problem solving skills_
- _Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment_
- _Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills_
- _Ability to work independently and in a team environment_
- _Attention to detail_
