Technical Business Analyst Lead - Mississauga, Canada - Citi

Financial Risk Technology is involved in delivering solutions across all Markets businesses including the central business teams which leverage this data across Risk Management and Finance.

This role will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands on direct exposure to all of the components within XiP working closely with the business and technology users as they face any new challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing relationships with various technology and business stakeholders
- Working with the Technology teams and quants supporting each specific Trading Business to enable their migration to XCS and other XiP services
- Providing leadership and strategic direction to the Business Analysts and at times Engineers focused on client's technical problems and any new requirements
- Delivering technical instructions for the resolution of L3 issues
- Working closely with L1 and L2 support when these issues are handed off as requiring L3 support
- A working knowledge in various technologies (e.g., Python, Kafka, Mongo, AWS, Kinetica, Java)
- Partnering with the platform engineering team who are responsible for all the respective DevOps aspects of our solutions
- Ensuring each solution has clearly defined business requirements and functional specifications
- Developing Talent: Mentoring and coaching junior business analysis members of the wider team
Essential Experience:
- 5+ years experiences in a financial services firm.
- 8+ years of business analysis experience.
- 3+ years of Risk Domain experience.
- Prior business analysis experience in the domain of risk is preferred
- Engineering, Finance, or Mathematics background is preferred
- Technical experience using Python, analytical databases like Kinetica, and big data solutions.
- Demonstrated capability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with quantitative stakeholders and front office technology teams
- Proven ability to conduct research/analysis, organize findings and build requirements documents
- Knowledge of financial markets and Risk management including a working knowledge of regulatory initiatives like FRTB
- Experience of working with virtual teams will be preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Educational Level: Bachelor's Degree required.
