ANPORT Communications is looking for an Account Manager to join our growing team.

This opportunity will allow you to work on a variety of projects, branding strategies and communication plans across the globe while operating in an entrepreneurial environment.

We manage several clients, but this specific opportunity will primarily focus in the energy sector, working with one of Canada's largest energy producers.

They are innovative, environmentally conscious, and leading the industry to create energy for the future. This roll is collaborative and exciting and will require an "all-hands-on deck" approach.

Along with the development and execution of all communication, corporate branding strategies and activities this role will also support awareness campaigns and social media content for the organization.


As the Account Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will be to:

  • Work closely with leadership team to align, plan, and implement integrated marketing and communication strategies to enhance strategic priorities and delivery of corporate strategy
  • Manage all aspects of our client's corporate branding, including evolving and maintaining corporate visual identity and brand standards, as well as optimizing branding channels
  • Take leadership of communications strategies and marketing plans while overseeing content development and identifying the best platforms to maximize impact and outreach
  • Partner with external designers, writers, editors and other creative staff to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand identity and project requirements
  • Oversee our client's social media presence including but not limited to the development of content, analysis of data and metrics, development of campaigns
  • Build and maintain sustainable relationships with media, members of the community, public affairs offices, and other organizations
  • 57 years of demonstrated experience in managing communications, including corporate communications, original writing and editing and public/government relations
  • Experience working in the Canadian energy industry is a huge asset
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Business or a related field
  • Demonstrated creativity of identifying target audiences and shaping communications with a focus on value propositions that interest, engage and inform
  • Exceptional written, presentational skills, and attention to detail as evidenced by your resume and cover letter
  • Demonstrated knowledge and exposure to social media platforms
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and your ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Innovative mindset; provide examples of your track record relating to strategies, implementation, and impact
  • Excellent time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Ability to thrive under pressure

Key projects includes:


  • Corporate Reporting, predominantly ESG reporting oversight
  • Content development: storytelling of company highlights and achievements in range of formats including video, social media, editorial stories etc.
  • Website: development of new client websites, ongoing updates and maintenance as required
  • Community engagement: researching and executing charitable opportunities in key operating communities
  • Recruitment: careers fairs and ongoing hiring initiatives
  • Internal communications: updating internal sharepoint, enewsletters, etc.
  • Government relations: conferences, presentations, letters to MP/MLAs
  • Indigenous relations: supporting partnerships, communications support for various initiatives, presentations, sponsorships
  • Special projects: as required
  • Advocacy: ongoing support with industry advocacy for Canadian energy
