  • Position Summary:
  • The Student Experience Coordinator provides our students with opportunities to develop their engagement within the school and the community. They are an integral part of student life as they plan student events and activities from the first day on campus to convocation.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the development and facilitation of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities/programs that promote personal growth and student success
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Enrolment Committee in the development and implementation of programs that improve student persistence i.e. peer tutoring program
  • Coordinate production of quarterly calendar of events for students and work with student services staff to execute these events
  • Prepare publicity and promotion of activities, programs, and events for students
  • Coordinate all relevant student experience/events communications to students through MIO
  • Involved in all events related to students (portfolio, convocation, orientation, fashion show, clubs)
  • Provide Wellness Services related to student individual well being, including, guidance, support, and referrals to the Student Assistance Program, professional counselling as appropriate
  • Develop and advise a Student Leadership Group
  • Model and facilitate enthusiasm in developing a sense of community for LCV students
  • Connect students with community groups and organizations through initiatives and activities
  • Advocate for quality student experiences with all stakeholders

  • Job Requirements:
  • Knowledge:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing profile or communication, or equivalent
  • 2 to 3 years' experience in Student Services, Student Events or in a similar position
  • Tech and media savvy with experience using multiple software platforms
  • Previous experience utilizing a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database would be an asset
  • Previous experience working in Higher Education would be an asset
  • Skills:
  • MS Office skills and comfortable utilizing a variety of IT systems including, but not limited to, an intranet, databases, etc.
  • Superior organizational and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
