Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: Will train
Tasks:
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Drive as part of a twoperson team or convoy
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform pretrip, en route and posttrip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:
- AZ class license
- Air Brakes Endorsement
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Documentation knowledge:
- Accident or incident reports
- Driver logbook
- Inspection report (pretrip, enroute, posttrip)
Security and safety:
- Driving record check (abstract)
- Work Term: Permanent
- Work Language: English
- Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week
