Expected Salary Range:
$101, $126, $158,003.00

The Company

The Team


The Manager, Partnerships and Community Investment leads the team that oversees BCLC's community investment and partnerships (sponsorships) programs in alignment with and support of BCLC's products (sports), programs, business strategies and social purpose: to generate win-wins for the greater good.

The team is part of a larger Communications team within the Social Purpose & Marketing Division.

Joining this team means you'll be working with a group of talented professionals in Social Purpose, Community & Stakeholder Engagement, Communications & Government Relations, Marketing, CRM & Loyalty and Customer Support.

As a Crown corporation that earns more than a billion dollars in annual revenue for B.C., BCLC's commitment to giving funds back to the province is an integral part of our business, but still only one piece of the picture for this social purpose organization.


The Role


Reporting to the Director, Social Purpose, Community and Stakeholder Engagement, the Manager, Partnerships and Community Investment leads the development and implementation of product (sports), corporate and community partnerships for BCLC.

This role requires flawless relationship-management skills and a commitment to collaboration with internal and external partners to take an enterprise approach in identifying, negotiating and executing on mutually beneficial partnerships that support business goals, drive reputation and integrate and advance BCLC's social purpose.

Working in lockstep with BCLC's marketing teams, this role is crucial in enhancing corporate and product brand awareness to support revenue and reputation growth.


What you will accomplish

  • You will lead, optimize and implement partnership strategies for how BCLC leverages product (sports), corporate and community sponsorships and partnerships to drive business, support reputation and create winwins for everyone involved.
  • Working closely with teams in marketing, you will play a pivotal role in advancing how BCLC leverages its sports, corporate and community partnerships to enhance brand awareness through relationships, partner affiliation and thirdparty validation.
  • You will levelup BCLC's approach to forging strategic, trusting and reciprocal relationships with external partners, including major sports leagues, nonprofit organizations and community groups, to advance business objectives, protect reputation and propel social purpose.
  • You will be an innovator in helping drive new player acquisition through sports/product sponsorships, by working with marketing teams to enhance BCLC's visibility through sponsorship assets, partner positioning and connection to sports audiences.
  • You will embed and enhance social purpose into sponsorships to deepen community benefits and increase reputation.
  • You will enhance BCLC's communityoutreach program through by continually innovating and enhancing experiences that educate the public about BCLC, and you will enhance how we evaluate and measure communityrelations initiatives.
  • You will champion and grow employee participation in community investment opportunities to create excitement about and connection with BCLC's social purpose, and its commitment to enhancing meaningful relationships and supporting communities.
  • You will inspire and grow an amazing direct team of partnership and community investment professionals.
