- Implementation of underwriting guidelines and best practices supporting our surety governance framework.
- Working with large accounts and supporting key broker and client relationships.
- Collaborate and supporting regional leadership groups and their respective underwriting teams.
- Implementing risk management initiatives including large exposure monitoring in collaboration with the VP National Surety Solutions.
- Approve account limits, over line requests, and making recommendations/approvals on larger accounts.
- Responsible for coordinating portfolio management strategies in the Quebec region.
- Leading, coaching, and mentoring underwriters and motivating them towards success.
- Collaborate with other members in the department to achieve shared goals.
- Conducting performance reviews and career developing discussions.
- Ensure corporate objectives and policies are being achieved and maintained.
- University degree or college diploma in business, accounting, finance, or economics.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant surety experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Effective analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
- Superior organization and communication skills
- Excellent teamwork and team building skills.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
- Can make independent decisions within the mandate.
- Can deal effectively and respectfully with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Advanced computer skills with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Bilingualism (French / English)
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
