We are currently looking for a Development Coordinator to join our Toronto (GTA) team


DESCRIPTION:
The Development Coordinator will be involved in the development process of new projects.

More specifically, they will participate in site analysis and site assessments, coordinate a variety of support activities within the Real Estate department and act as a liaison between various departments and external resources.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in the site analysis and assessment including zoning, entitlements, density potential, market studies, financial analysis, etc.
  • Assist with the management of the development process including working through zoning, consultant followups, permitting, reporting, liaising with construction team on warranty issues, etc.
  • Assists with the issuance of design RFP's (arch, struct, mech, civil, landscaping).
  • Assist with administration functions related to the tracking and documentation of the client design criteria
  • Liaise with Finance and Estimation for budgeting and cash flows. Track entitlement schedule and budget.
  • Assist with ongoing entitlement processes.
  • Liaise with the city to expedite the approval process as needed.
  • Book, coordinate, and record minutes for team and consultant meetings.
  • Ensure studies are completed on a timely basis.
  • Simple project accounting.
  • Coordinate marketing requirements including collaborating with marketing department to ensure consistency and integrity of the brand.
  • Participate in the development of real estate presentations, proposals and RFP responses.
  • Gather, collect and analyze market data information related to specific projects.
  • Attend workshops, trade shows and seminars to keep up to date on changes in the industry.
  • Participate in the planning and logistics of special events for new projects.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • University undergraduate degree in related field
  • 23 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model
  • Ability to travel to client site as needed
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Team player attitude
  • Eagerness to collaborate and contribute ideas to the team
  • Entrepreneurial attitude, takes initiative
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Real-Estate and Construction industry knowledge
